Summer & Fall Update

September 2016

Greetings Friends!

School has begun and we are looking for volunteers to read and/or tutor, but first I must tell you why there was a lack of news from me this summer.

Michael and I had an electrical house fire in July.

The house has to be re-wired so they are removing most of the inside walls. Our time has been spent with the packers. The house is completely empty with almost everything going to storage.

We are living in a rental house in Huntington Woods and are very grateful that nothing memorable was lost and that we got out with our dog and computers.

Now it's time to care for the children of Pasteur!

Please respond to this email with a resounding YES that you would like to help the kids with either your time or donation.

Please scroll down for information on what our Pasteur kids did this summer with "Summer in the City!"

Thank you for supporting our Foundation so that we can do these wonderful programs for our kids!

Summer in the City

Finale Friday

Our Pasteur kids played, planted and painted with the diverse teens and young adults from SITC. They were treated to special Fridays during summer school and two weeks of Camp Pasteur. Summer in the City had a final celebration. It was at Adams Butzel Rec Center in Detroit for a day of fun, games, a petting zoo, lunch, reading under a tent, and free school backpacks. There were hundreds of young people, volunteers and students enjoying the end of a fabulous summer experience. See www.summeringthecity.com for more info.

Thank you to all who contributed to make this $2,500 expenditure a possibility! (It included free lunches for kids who might not have it at home!)
