"Summer in the City" will be working with our students every Friday for the 4 weeks of summer school. They will also run Camp Pasteur for 2 weeks afterward. They take the kids to spots in Detroit to do sports, planting and painting providing a free lunch!

see what they do! We have donated $2,500 to come to Pasteur. This is thanks to all of you!

Dear Marcy,
Just received a phone call asking if alumni can join our students for a 4th of July Parade around the school on Tuesday, July 2 at 9:30 am. It's summer school and this will be fun! Feel free to bring your grandkids and flags!  Show your kids your old school!

The Pasteur Promotion ceremony for our 6th graders leaving the school was very moving! Please read the beautiful tribute which we was presented in the auditorium at the ceremony. It was handwritten and framed.

Dear Pasteur Alumni,

On behalf of the 6th grade class, we would like to thank you for all the contributions that you have made to Pasteur. We thank you for volunteers that come to the school and read to our students. Thank you for readers on Earth Day that make sure that we understand how important it is to recycle, reuse, and reduce to save the Earth!

Thank you for the Book & Blanket event that we held earlier in the school year, which was a spectacular event. It would have never been so spectacular if you hadn't donated your time and money to help Pasteur. Thank you for painting our lockers from that boring yellow to this gorgeous blue. Thank you for the field trip that you took us on to see The Diary of Anne Frank live at the Jewish Ensemble Theater. We adored the Diary of Anne Frank book that you gave us, which was breathtaking and thought provoking. You have donated money for Christmas programs, Black History programs, and you bought us new radiant curtains. Every little thing that you do is recognized and appreciated by everyone at Pasteur.

     Sincerely,

     Kaitlyn Wilson

Lemonade Stand - June, 2013

Carl LevinWe invested $100 in the Lemonade Stand program and the school returned the investment after making $300 to give to charity. The students learned economics, marketing, and put on very business-like demeanor to run the lemonade stand! Look who came to Pasteur! Senator Carl Levin surprised us with his wife Barbara and daughter Erica. All their daughters are alumni!
Pictured with the Senator above are Principal Sharon Lawson and secretary Sheila Wells.
